What we do

Three services, one accountable partner

Most companies end up with a development shop, an ERP consultancy and a marketing agency — three contracts, and nobody responsible when they don't line up. We do all three, and we bring in partner products where a proven platform beats building one.

What we're building right now

Two current engagements, each drawing on a different part of what we do.

How we work

The same five steps, whichever service you start with

1

Discover

We learn how the business runs today, including the parts that are genuinely awkward.

2

Scope

A written plan with what's included, what isn't, and what it costs. No surprises later.

3

Build

Short cycles with something to look at each time, so direction is corrected early.

4

Launch

Migration, testing, training and a cutover plan that assumes something will go wrong.

5

Support

We stay. Month three is when most projects quietly fall over.

How we deliver

Implementation is a discipline, not a download

The software is the easy part. What decides whether a project lands is the work around it — the process mapping, the data, the integrations, and who answers the phone after go-live.

Discovery before configuration

We map how your business actually runs before touching a setting. Most failed implementations are a configuration built on an assumption nobody checked.

Data migration, done properly

Cleansed, mapped and reconciled before cutover, with balances that tie out. This is where go-live dates are usually lost.

Integration across systems

ERP, point of sale, workforce and storefront exchanging data on a schedule you can rely on, instead of a spreadsheet moving between them.

Support after go-live

A named team that already knows your configuration, rather than a ticket queue starting from zero every time something breaks.

Tell us what's not working

Most of our engagements start with someone describing a process that has quietly become painful. Thirty minutes on a call is usually enough to tell you whether we can help.

No obligation · We will tell you if it isn't a fit

Home / Services / ERP Implementation

ERP implementation, done in the right order

We implement NetSuite and other enterprise systems — scoping, configuration, data migration, integration, training and the support that comes after go-live.

The honest version

ERP projects rarely fail because of the software

They fail because nobody mapped the real process before configuring the system, because the data was worse than anyone admitted, or because training happened once, a week before go-live.

Configured for the brochure

A system set up the way the demo looked, rather than the way your approvals, cost centres and month-end actually run.

Data nobody cleaned

Duplicate vendors, inconsistent item codes and balances that don't tie out. Migration surfaces every one of them, usually late.

Training as an afterthought

One session, no follow-up, and a finance team that quietly keeps a parallel spreadsheet for six months.

What we do

End to end, or the part you're missing

Full implementations, or a specific piece if you already have a team and need help with one part of it.

ERP selection & advisory

If you have not chosen a platform yet, we help you compare honestly — including cases where a smaller system is the right answer.

Process discovery

We document how finance, purchasing, inventory and sales actually work today — including the workarounds nobody mentions in meetings.

Chart of accounts design

Structured so the reports your board asks for come out of the system, rather than out of a spreadsheet built on top of it.

Data migration

Customers, vendors, items, open transactions and balances — extracted, cleaned, mapped, loaded and reconciled to the cent.

Integration

Connecting the ERP to your website, warehouse, payroll, CRM and banking — so data is entered once and only once.

Customization

Custom fields, forms, workflows and reports where the standard product genuinely does not fit — and a clear recommendation when it does.

Training

Role-based sessions for finance, operations and management, with written procedures they keep afterwards.

Post go-live support

Hypercare through the first close, then an ongoing support arrangement sized to how much help you actually need.

Platforms

What we implement

NetSuite is where we are deepest today. The platforms alongside it are placeholders — tell me which ones S&B genuinely delivers and each one gets its own page.

NetSuite

Full-suite cloud ERP — financials, inventory, order management and reporting. Our lead platform, in active delivery.

Talk to us

Platform to confirm

Second named ERP platform. Replace with a real one and this becomes a full page.

Platform to confirm

Third named ERP platform.

Platform-agnostic advisory

Selection, business case, process design and vendor management — useful before you have committed to anything.

Talk to us

Our method

Six phases, each with something you can see

01 — Discovery

Workshops with finance, operations and IT. Output: a written process document and a scope you sign off before anything is configured.

02 — Design

Chart of accounts, roles, approval chains and reporting structure agreed on paper first, because changing them later is expensive.

03 — Configuration

The system built to the signed design, demonstrated back to you in stages rather than revealed at the end.

04 — Migration

Data extracted, cleaned and loaded, then reconciled against your existing balances until the numbers agree exactly.

05 — Testing & training

User acceptance testing with your real transactions, and role-based training with written procedures.

06 — Go-live & hypercare

A cutover plan that assumes something will go wrong, then daily support through the first month-end close.

Finance & controls

Configured for how your finance team actually closes

Tax, set up correctly

Tax codes, rates and jurisdictions configured for everywhere you actually sell, so returns come out of the system rather than out of a spreadsheet.

Multi-currency

Every currency you trade in handled properly, with revaluation and realized/unrealized gains posted where they belong.

Audit and record retention

Configured so your records stand up to an audit without a manual reconstruction the week it is requested.

Roles and access

Permissions that match who should approve what, so segregation of duties is designed in rather than promised in a policy document.

Questions

Frequently asked

It depends on the number of entities, how many processes are in scope, and the state of your data — which is usually the biggest variable. We give you a phased timeline in writing after discovery, rather than a number on a web page that we would have to walk back.
Yes, and it is more common than you might expect. We start with an assessment of what has been configured, what the data looks like, and what is genuinely salvageable — then give you an honest recommendation, including if that means starting a phase again.
No — cleaning is part of the work. But the more you can tell us early about known problems (duplicate vendors, inconsistent item codes, balances that never tied out), the more accurate the estimate will be.
Both, deliberately. Where your process is a genuine competitive difference, we configure around it. Where it is just habit, we will say so — because every customization is something that has to be maintained and tested for years.
Hypercare through your first month-end close, with daily availability. After that, an ongoing support arrangement sized to what you actually need — which for most clients decreases substantially after the first quarter.

Thinking about an ERP, or stuck partway into one?

Either conversation is worth having. We will tell you honestly whether the project is a fit for us and what we think it involves.

Home / Services / Design & Development

Software built around how your business actually works

Custom applications, web and mobile products, and the design work that makes them worth using — plus the maintenance that keeps them running afterwards.

What we build

From one internal tool to a full platform

The common thread is that something in the business is being held together by a spreadsheet, an inbox, or a person who remembers how it works.

Custom business applications

Internal systems for the processes no off-the-shelf product covers — inventory, scheduling, quoting, approvals, job tracking.

Mobile applications

iOS and Android apps for teams in the field or customers on the move, built to work on poor connections.

Websites & web platforms

Marketing sites, customer portals and e-commerce, built accessible and fast rather than heavy and fashionable.

UI/UX design

Research, wireframes, prototypes and a design system — so what gets built has been agreed before anyone writes code.

Integration & APIs

Making your existing systems talk to each other, so the same number is not typed into three places every week.

Maintenance & support

Updates, security patches, hosting and small changes on a retainer — the part most agencies quietly stop doing.

How we work

You see it every two weeks, not at the end

01 — Discovery

We map the process, agree what success looks like, and produce a scope and estimate you can hold us to.

02 — Design

Wireframes and a clickable prototype, so disagreements happen on a screen rather than in code.

03 — Build

Two-week cycles, each ending with something working that you can use and react to.

04 — Launch & run

Deployment, handover documentation, training, and a maintenance arrangement from day one.

After launch

The part that decides whether it was worth building

Software that nobody maintains becomes a liability within about eighteen months. We treat maintenance as part of the product, not an upsell.

Security & updates

Dependencies patched, certificates renewed, and vulnerabilities addressed before they become an incident.

Small changes

A monthly allowance for the tweaks every system needs, without a new statement of work each time.

Accessibility upkeep

Ongoing WCAG 2.1 AA checks, so a site that launched accessible stays that way as content changes.

Questions

Frequently asked

Usually buy — and we will say so. Custom is worth it when the process is a genuine competitive difference, or when the off-the-shelf options would each need so much configuration that you end up maintaining something custom anyway.
You do. The contract assigns ownership to you, and the code lives in a repository you have access to from the first commit — not one you receive at the end if the relationship goes well.
Yes. A good proportion of our work is extending or integrating systems someone else built. We start with an assessment of the codebase and tell you honestly what shape it is in.
Yes, to WCAG 2.1 AA. Retrofitting accessibility afterwards costs considerably more than building it in, and it is far harder to test once the interface is finished.

Have something that should be software but currently isn't?

Bring us the spreadsheet. Those conversations tend to be the productive ones.

Home / Services / Digital Marketing

Marketing that runs on the systems we built

Social media, content, campaigns and reporting — from a team that also builds and maintains the website underneath, so nothing gets stuck between agency and developer.

Our advantage

No handoff gap between the campaign and the site

The usual arrangement is an agency that writes recommendations and a developer who implements them, eventually. We are both, so a landing page, a tracking change and a campaign all go live on the same day.

Campaigns that actually ship

The people planning the campaign can build the page it points at. There is no queue between the idea and the thing being live.

Tracking set up properly

Goals, events and conversions configured by the people who built the site, so the numbers mean what you think they mean.

One set of reporting

Marketing results drawn from the same analytics we implemented, so nobody spends the meeting arguing about whose figures are right.

What we do

Social, content, campaigns and the reporting to prove it

Social media management

Channel strategy, a content calendar, publishing and community management — consistently, which is most of the battle.

Content & creative

Copy, graphics and short video built around what your buyers actually care about, rather than what filled the calendar last month.

Paid campaigns

Search and social advertising with clear budgets, defined audiences, and a straight answer on what each channel returned.

Email marketing

Campaigns and automated sequences with consent tracking built in from the start — see the consent section below.

Landing pages

Built and tested by the same team, so a campaign is never held up waiting for someone else to deploy a page.

Analytics & reporting

Proper goal tracking, then a monthly report in plain English that says what happened and what we are doing next.

Questions

Frequently asked

No. We work on sites we did not build. It is simply faster when we maintain it too, because there is no waiting on another vendor to deploy a landing page or a tracking change.
Reach, engagement, conversions against goals we agreed up front, and what we did that month. Not vanity metrics, and not a fifty-page automated export nobody reads.
Yes — strategy, calendar, creative, publishing and community management. Most clients start with us running it and keep approval rights over the calendar.
Paid campaigns give you signal within weeks. Organic social and content compound over months. We will tell you at the outset which of your goals is realistic in which timeframe.

Want a second opinion on your marketing?

We will look at what you are running now and tell you what we would change — whether or not you work with us afterwards.

Home / Products / HESSA AI

HESSA AI — the workforce platform we partner on

Attendance, scheduling, payroll and field operations on one data model, for teams that don't sit at desks. HESSA is a partner product: S&B handles licensing, configuration, rollout, integration and ongoing support.

The platform

Four modules most teams start with

More than 25 modules are available. These are the ones that solve the problem people call us about.

Time & Attendance

Clock in from a phone, a wall kiosk or an existing biometric reader, with GPS geofencing so a punch only counts on site. Face recognition ends buddy punching.

Scheduling & Leave

Build rosters by site or department, publish to phones, and let the system flag coverage gaps and conflicts before they turn into overtime.

Payroll

Run pay from hours already approved in the system — no re-keying, no second spreadsheet, and a full audit trail behind every line.

Field Workforce

Live location during working hours, planned visit routes, automatic mileage, and forms crews complete from the job site.

Plus kiosk and gate access, claims and expenses, help desk, recruitment, productivity monitoring, meeting intelligence and more.

What S&B does

The licence is the easy part

Self-serve onboarding works for a twenty-person office. It does not work for four hundred workers across thirty sites with biometric hardware and four different shift patterns.

Configuration

Grace periods, rounding, break deductions, overtime thresholds and premiums agreed in writing before anything is switched on.

Rollout

Geofences drawn per site, devices registered, employees loaded, and a phased go-live rather than a single switch.

Integration

Connected to your ERP and accounting systems, so workforce cost lands in the general ledger without re-entry.

Support

A named contact who knows your configuration, rather than a ticket queue that starts from zero each time.

Who it's for

Where the platform earns its keep

Construction

Crews moving between sites, subcontractors on different rates, and attendance records that hold up in a dispute.

Manufacturing

High-volume clock-in at shift change, line-level attendance, and overtime visible during the shift rather than after it.

Logistics

Driver hours, route adherence, automatic mileage, and proof of delivery captured on the phone.

Questions

Frequently asked

Placeholder answer — this needs confirming with HESSA in writing before it goes live. Specifically: statutory deductions, year-end filing, employment-standards rules and payment file formats for each market you operate in. Until that is confirmed, this page should position payroll as integrating with your existing payroll provider.
In most cases, no. The platform integrates with common biometric devices. We check your specific models during the first conversation and tell you plainly if something will not connect.
The app records the punch locally with its timestamp and location, and syncs when the device is back in coverage. Remote sites are a normal case, not an exception.
No. Location is captured at clock-in and clock-out, and during working hours only for field roles where that has been switched on deliberately. We help you write the internal policy that goes alongside it.

See it running on your own shift patterns

We will configure a sample of your real roster before the call, so you are looking at your operation rather than a generic demo.

How we work

Why the list is short

We stay after go-live

Every engagement here is still under support. That is the point of the model — but it also means each new client is a commitment we carry indefinitely, not a project we close out.

One team, one contract

Where a partner is involved, we manage them. You get a single point of accountability instead of a chain of suppliers pointing at each other.

We say no

If an engagement needs something we cannot do properly, or the timeline only works if the data migration is rushed, we say so before the contract rather than after the slip.

Thinking about an implementation?

Tell us what you are trying to solve. We will come back the same business day, and we will say honestly if it isn't something we should take on.

Home / About

An implementation company, and the group behind it

S&B Technologies implements the systems businesses actually run on — NetSuite ERP, point of sale, and the software around them. We are small on purpose, we stay on after go-live, and we are backed by a group of companies with the engineering depth to scale when a project needs it.

Who we are

We implement, and then we stay

Most of what goes wrong with enterprise software goes wrong in the implementation, not the licence. That is the part we do.

Implementation is the work

Process mapping before configuration, data cleansed and reconciled before cutover, integrations that hold. The software is the easy part; everything around it decides whether the project lands.

One accountable partner

ERP, point of sale, the website and the workforce platform under one contract. Where a partner is involved we manage them, so there is no chain of suppliers pointing at each other.

We stay after go-live

Every client on our list is still under support. Go-live is the start of the relationship, which is also why the list is deliberately short.

How we work

The things we will tell you before the contract

What the data will cost you

Migration is where go-live dates are usually lost. We look at your data early and give you an honest read, rather than discovering it in the final phase.

Where we would not customise

If a process is just habit rather than a competitive difference, we will say so. Every customisation is something maintained and tested for years.

What happens after go-live

Hypercare through your first month-end close, then a support arrangement sized to what you actually need — which for most clients drops after the first quarter.

When we should say no

If an engagement needs something we cannot do properly, or the timeline only works with a rushed migration, we say so before the contract rather than after the slip.
